Indie darlings Wing Dam bring dense fuzzy riffs with gorgeous hypnotic harmonized vocals over top of balls-out king-kong drums. You could call Wing Dam a super group of sorts. Abram Sanders has played with Lower Dens & The Snails. Austin Tally has played with Silent Whys and Soft Cat. And the fierce Sara Autrey has recorded with Dan Deacon and Which Magic. It’s in the catchy infectious music they create that will have you singing along before the first chorus like you’ve known the song since childhood. “This is the Wing Dam we’ve been waiting for.” (Decoder Magazine)
The band came in the studio to record their first full length with producer Mat Leffler-Schulman in March. Mat recorded and mixed the record in less than a week with all instrumentation recorded live. It’s the resulting excitement and vibe that comes from recording live that feeds such a fun summer album. Listen to this record with the windows down in the car until your ears bleed with joy. Doctor’s orders.
